I don't understand why Connections has price specials for certain people and not for others. Why is this?

This service matches, then crossmatches you with all members. Thus, it is very important to a job well done for the data base to be balanced, particularly in such categories as age and height, plus gender. When the membership is not balanced, we offer a monetary incentive to the people we need to balance our database. It's very simple and it works as an incentive to move! Once that need is filled, we withdraw the special. Our genius computer "tells" us what balances the data base.

You keep saying you match people. What do you mean by "match?"

We need a choice of people who HAVE the attributes you specify and who WANT the attributes you offer. We need equal numbers of men and women who match for those tangible attributes we can measure. Once we have tangible attributes that match and cross-match, we can screen for compatibility: interests, values, and background. Then you can screen the matches for chemistry, knowing other attributes you seek are present. And, of course, you are the only person who can screen for chemistry for you.

I can see what you mean when you say it it important for the same matchmaker to interview, then match everyone in the database. Is that all that I should look for? What else is important in matchmaking?

A homogeneous group is important. For example, Connections is predominantly a professional group of educated singles who live in and around the DFW metroplex and who are seeking a long-term relationship leading to marriage. If you want to meet that type of person, this is the place for you.

You have very reasonable fees. Why?

We started this company almost nine years ago without buying a franchise; thus we have no investment fees to recoup and no franchise or national advertising fees to charge. We work hard to keep our overhead low so you can pay a reasonable price to meet someone in and around DFW. Many people will not pay high prices to join a service, not because they can not afford it, because most of our members can afford the higher prices. They tell us it is a choice to invest their time (we do the work for you) and their money wisely.

I want to know more. However, I went one place where the sales pressure really made me mad. Is it possible to come to your office and discuss this further without sales pressure?

Please come for an interview. We'll answer all your questions, then let you decide without any sales pressure of any sort! We only want you if you can be matched from our present database and if you want us, too. There is no future for the matchmaking service in pressuring people to join who don't want to join. Those people rarely participate fully in the service and then we all lose!
