to your partner, not as representative of some group of "men" or
"women," but as a person. After all, you aren't looking at a stereotype, you are
looking at THE person you love. And remember, the real loser in any relationship is
someone who always has to win. Know Yourself First Because each person has adapted/adjusted to the gender changes in society in his/her own manner, the gender role differences between men and women will still affect our choice of mates/lovers and the success of our relationships. Reactions to change Some men and some women have more traditional male or female gender role characteristics remaining in their personalities/value systems. Most of these remain from their own personal choices and/or from their fear of or reluctance to change. |
